here i am, on the internet

hello all,

until i can use a faster computer or get a new email account, it looks like my emory mail client is too complicated to access from here. i have tried to contact some of you but it probably did not work, and now our time at this cafe is up. i am in mali, i am safe, but i must go. its extraordinary here.
